According to Boston-TiE, the Subu Kota Foundation has given $25,000 over multi-year support to the TiE Boston Women Program. The grant is the biggest this company has ever received. This sponsorship will provide funding for the TiE Boston Women's Pitch Competition in 2023, 2024, and 2025.
The Boston Group's founder and CEO, Subu Kota, is a successful serial entrepreneur and angel investor. Mr. Kota announced his recent decision to invest $100,000 in Brazilian companies founded by women at the TiE Global Retreat in Rio. He has long-backed campaigns and gatherings that benefit women.
Subu Kota, the chairperson of the foundation, spoke at the event and expressed his passion for improving the community and giving women opportunities and resources. The company is thrilled to work with TiE Boston to level the playing field for women-owned businesses in England. On August 30, 2023, the PTC Headquarters in Seaport, Boston, will host the competition's final pitch. Both a networking reception and a tour of the PTC Labs are scheduled. At the event's grand finale, the Boston Winner and two Runners Up will be announced.
Six finalists were chosen from among the initial applicants for TiE Boston's 2023 Women Pitch Competition by 11 exceptionally talented screeners. Additionally, the winners will represent Boston in Singapore at the TiE Women Global Finals. Angel investors, venture capitalists, and business executives will listen to the finalists during the final pitch. The winner will represent TiE Boston at the TiE Women Global Pitch Competition in Singapore and compete for $50,000 in equity-free cash and $1 million in investments.
