In many areas of life, women have helped to improve the world. Through their monitoring of many programmes and objectives set forth for the development of the globe, they are preoccupied with educational development, liquidity position, and shared success. To advance civilization, political stability, and economic development, women must feel empowered.

Women have significantly contributed to the world's improvement in many spheres of existence. They are concerned several initiatives and agendas set forth for the improvement of the world.

Many initiatives have received the full support of a large number of academics, authorities, and world leaders.

Many initiatives and programmes have been developed to empower women, and as a corollary, many women have become societal leaders all around the world. In today's world, women are showcasing their skills and self-worth in every conceivable career. Women continue to astound people all around the world. Women can be made more powerful in a variety of ways; all they want is a little help to reach their full potential.

Jutta Urpilainen, European Commission's Commissioner for International Cooperation to visit Nepal

Jutta Urpilainen, the European Commissioner for International Partnerships, is due to travel to Nepal for an official visit to meet with Nepali officials and launch various EU initiatives there.

According to Commissioner Jutta, “I am glad to be traveling to Nepal to enhance our collaboration and engage on issues of mutual geopolitical concern, not least Russia's campaign of aggressiveness against Ukraine, which already had terrible effects on food security throughout the globe, including in Nepal”.

PMMI Appoints Patty Andersen as First Female Board Chair

PMMI, The Association for Packaging and Printing Technologies, has appointed Delkor Systems’ Patty Andersen as the 2023 chairperson of the Board. The move is significant since this is the first time a woman has held the position in the association’s history. 
 
Patty served as a co-owner and vice president of human resources and after market services at Delkor Systems which made her a great fit for the chairperson position at PMMI. 

Delegation from Mediterranean Parliamentary Assembly received by Dubai Foundation for Women and Children

The Parliamentary Assembly of the Mediterranean has sent a high-level delegation to the Dubai Foundation for Women and Children (DFWAC) (PAM). The purpose of the delegation's visit was to learn more about the foundation's programmes for women and children who have experienced domestic abuse.

The delegation, which included Joana Lima, President of the PAM Women Parliamentary Forum, Maryam Majid bin Thaniya, Representative of the Federal National Council and Vice President of the PAM Women Parliamentary Forum, Fatima Zahraa Abdi, Second Vice President of the PAM Women Parliamentary Forum, and Celine Cervi, Parliamentary Secretary, was welcomed by Sheikha Saeed Al Mansouri, Acting Director-General of the Foundation.

MMC Names Olga Fleming as CEO

Marina Maher has decided to resign as CEO of the integrated marketing and communications firm she created and has led since 1983, Marina Maher Communications (MMC), an Omnicom PR Group (OPRG) agency. Olga Fleming, who is currently MMC's global president, has been appointed by Marina as the company's CEO, starting immediately. For several months, Marina and Fleming had worked together to guarantee a seamless succession that puts MMC's people, client quality, and company momentum first.

Although it was a significant choice, Marina claimed that it wasn't a difficult one. We just experienced fresh business growth, and we have a promising forecast for 2023. I've always been interested in assisting women in achieving success in their professional lives and positions of leadership. It was one of the principles on which I built MMC, therefore I'm happy to be able to designate such a successful, motivating, and diverse person from within the organization," said Marina.

Association for Promotion of Women Entrepreneurship in Azerbaijan and WEIA sign Memorandum

A memorandum of collaboration between the Center for International Development of Women's and Social Entrepreneurship WEIA and the Azerbaijan Women's Entrepreneurship Development Association has been inked, according to Trend.

Sakina Babayeva, the head of Azerbaijani Association, and Viktoriya Nalbandova, the CEO of the WEIA, both signed the pact at the start of the global women's conference on social entrepreneurship.At the signing event, Viktoriya mentioned that one of the goals of the agreement is to export the goods made by women entrepreneurs in Azerbaijan.

Women's Committee Office Bearers meet in India at ICA Asia-Pacific

On January 23, the officially elected Office Bearers of the ICA-AP Subcommittee on Women met in person for the first time in the ICA-AP Regional Office in New Delhi. Ms. Takako Tsuchiya of the Japanese Consumers' Co-operative Union's International Department accompanied Ms. Chitose Arai, chairperson, and Ms. Priti Patel, vice chairperson (JCCU).

The in-person meeting provided the Elected Members and Panel Secretary Ms. Simren Singh representing ICA-AP with a wonderful opportunity to talk about the activity plan for 2023.

World Government Summit 2023 in Dubai to feature Gender Balance Forum

The Gender Balance Forum and the Women in Government Forum will be held at the World Government Summit, which is scheduled to take place in Dubai from 13 to 15 February. 

They are being sponsored by Her Highness Sheikha Manal bint Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, President of the UAE Gender Balance Council, President of the Dubai Women Establishment, and the wife of HH Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Presidential Court.

The two Forums shall bring together influential thinkers from the area and throughout the world to talk about fresh ways to improve gender parity and women's participation in politics. Global leaders, members of the public and business sectors, and experts in creating gender policies will engage in frank discussion at both gatherings.
