Dame Shellie Hunt Founder Of The Women Of Global Change Honored With Humanitarian Doctorate In London

Dame Shellie Hunt was honored to receive an Honorary Doctorate in Humanitarianism in London this winter.

Known as the first lady of entrepreneurs, Dame Hunt is also the Founder of a Multiple White House Award winning Non-Profit organization, Women of Global Change (WGC), whose service has been recognized for its commitment to Educational Excellence and Social Impact initiatives around the globe.

In attendance were multiple organizations to celebrate humanitarian efforts worldwide including Ladies from all Nations International (LOANI), the Global Society for Female Entrepreneurs (GSFE), World Wide Leaders Association, Global Uplift Humanitarian Alliance, Mindset Mastery, AMIEF and others. WGC is grateful for all the organizations that came together to recognize each other and gather in the spirit of betterment for humanity as a whole.

June Chepkemei named as KenInvest's acting managing director by Trade CS Kuria

Moses Kuria, the Cabinet Secretary for Trade and Investment, has nominated June Chepkemei to serve as the Kenya Investment Authority's acting managing director (KenInvest).

According to a press release dated January 31, 2023, Chepkemei's new position at the government institution will involve leading initiatives to draw in and expand investments.

According to the statement, "KenInvest encourages and supports foreign and domestic investments in Kenya by pushing for a conducive investment climate, creating bankable opportunities to invest, and providing aftercare services to investors.

11th Women leaders' summit convened in Indonesia

After a two-year hiatus, the 11th annual "International Women Leaders' Summit" was held here. It congregated together leaders from all over the world to share their accomplishment stories and embolden others to take the lead.

The conference has been conducted by New World Concepts under the direction of Yasmin Hyder since 2012. In the preceding 10 conferences, the annual convention series has hosted over 3,000 participants and 177 lecturers from 44 different nations, according to a news statement released.

Guardians Girls Global Karate Project, launched by UNFPA in partnership with KIF & WKF

This project aims to empower girls and young women to fight gender-based violence through Karate training.

Guardians Girls Global Karate Project has been launched by UNFPA Egypt in partnership with the Koyamada International Foundation (KIF) and the World Karate Federation (WKF) on January 28 with aim of empowering young women and girls through Karate training.

The project included seminars on January 28 and 29 where the young girls learned about tools to confront violent situations.

The activities of the Guardian Girls Project have been carried out in several countries in Africa.

Amy Connel of Scotland inaugurated the events with a self-defense Karate Seminar she holds the position of Commonwealth Champion, an expert in women's empowerment activities, an Olympic medallist, a two-time World Champion, and a medallist at the European Championships.

Cameron Skelton promoted to vice president at Northwest Bank

The job of vice president for intellectual capital and principal inclusion officer was given to Cameron Skelton. Skelton has spent her nine years as Northwest's talent development manager designing and implementing individual training and advancement plans for every bank employee.

Louis Torchio, president, and CEO of Northwest Bank shared the news. Since 2014, Cameron has played a crucial role in Northwest's attempts to grow its management and recruit talent. "We couldn't be prouder of Cameron as she ascends into her new job as chief inclusion officer," he said. "Diversity is essential for Northwest's capacity to develop and innovate, and having managed our talent development programs out across the bank, Cameron has shown to be crucial in guiding this critically important work," says the CEO of Northwest.

Belinda Rowe announced as New independent director by Sky TV

Belinda Rowe has been appointed as an independent member of the Sky board, effective March 1, 2023, according to a statement from Sky Network Television New Zealand.

With Publicis Media, Zenith, Mojo, and O2 Telefonica, among others, Belinda has held worldwide leadership positions in marketing, communications, digital, and media. Additionally, she led the development of a successful content marketing and sports sponsorship strategy in 32 markets.

Belinda has experience in governance, having served as a non-executive director at 3P Learning Ltd., Temple & Webster Group, and HT&E Ltd., an ASX-listed Australian media firm. She is on the boards of the AFL team Sydney Swans and Soprano Design, a multinational provider of technological services.
