Dame Shellie Hunt was honored to receive an Honorary Doctorate in Humanitarianism in London this winter.

This project aims to empower girls and young women to fight gender-based violence through Karate training.
Guardians Girls Global Karate Project has been launched by UNFPA Egypt in partnership with the Koyamada International Foundation (KIF) and the World Karate Federation (WKF) on January 28 with aim of empowering young women and girls through Karate training.
The project included seminars on January 28 and 29 where the young girls learned about tools to confront violent situations.
The activities of the Guardian Girls Project have been carried out in several countries in Africa.
