Women's World Cup: FIFA Secretary General Samoura Urges TV Companies to Increase Offers
Fatma Samoura, FIFA Secretary General has urged television broadcasters in major European countries to come up with improved offers to avoid a TV blackout of the upcoming Women's World Cup.
"Discussions are ongoing, but I cannot see a country like France, which staged this same World Cup four years ago, not broadcasting it," Samoura told a global news agency.

A worldwide advocacy programme called She's Next, backed by Visa, attempts to help women-owned small companies by providing finance, mentorship, and training.
Women entrepreneurs in Qatar from all fields and industries have until June 23, 2023, to submit an application to She's Next. A bespoke training programme, a grant of USD 50,000, and access to She's Next Club tools including a workshop library and entrepreneurial network will all be given to one winner.
For the 2023 Global Pitch Competition for women entrepreneurs, TiE Boston is accepting submissions. Companies that have been shortlisted will go through sessions that are crucial for the expansion of their businesses and can take part in a variety of mentorship and networking events all year long. In November 2023, TiE Boston will send the First Place Winners to represent them in the international finals in Singapore.
The Boston Chapter Final will take place in August 2023, while the Singapore Global Final will take place in November 2023. Applications for the TiE Boston University Pitch Competition are due on June 15, 2023.
