Hasnae Taleb Becomes the First Arab & African Woman to be Nominated as The Shewolf of Nasdaq

 

Hasnae Taleb is a former Stock Trader, Investor, and Entrepreneur known for her remarkable achievements in the financial world, including being the first Arab and African woman nominated as The Shewolf of Nasdaq. With a passion for finance and a drive for success, Hasnae is a leader in global initiatives and a board member of the American Chamber of Commerce in the UAE.

At only 21 years old, Hasnae became the youngest and only Arab female equity trader in Nasdaq Stock Exchange. Her passion for trading and analyzing markets started at a very young age. GetBundi to provide 500 African women with free coding training as part of TechSis 2023

500 African women will get online coding instruction from GetBundi Education Foundation, the company's corporate social responsibility division, between June 1 and August 31, 2023.

The free coding classes will be offered amid an enormous digital skills gap in Africa, particularly among women, and at a time when having access to digital tools and skills is becoming more and more necessary for services like health, education, social protection, and financial services.

Mrs. Maha Abdul Majeed Ismail Ali Al-Fahim got appointed as the first female and one of the board members of SALAMA, the largest provider of Shari'ah-compliant Takaful solutions in the UAE.

Islamic Arab Insurance Company (SALAMA) announced the selection of a new chairman and vice chairman to the board of directors as well as a distinguished board of directors for a term of three years following the company's annual general meeting (AGM). At the AGM, SALAMA's first female board member was also appointed.

Dubai Customs observes World Intellectual Property Day to celebrate contribution of women to innovation and creativity

For the 2023 World Intellectual Property Day celebration, Dubai Customs went all out under the slogan "Women and IP: Accelerating Innovation and Creativity." His Excellency Ahmed Mahboob Musabih, Director General of Dubai Customs and CEO of Ports, Customs and Free Zone Corporation, presided over the gala event.

Engineer Abdullah Belhoul, CEO of the Planning and Development Department-Tarkhees, Mahmoud Amin, Maritime Agent for Ports, Customs and Free Zone Corporation, Dr Metha Buhumaid, Director General of the Dubai Press Club, Malik Hanouf, CEO of Brand Owners' Protection Group, and Alia Shamlan, Director of Dubai Farjan, were also present at the event. Representatives from numerous federal, state, municipal, and international diplomatic missions attended the ceremony as well.

Senator President Pro Tempore Loren Legarda calls on female leaders to lead efforts to address climate change

At the Women International Network for Disaster Risk Reduction (WIN DRR) launch at the SM Mall of Asia in Pasay City, Senate President Pro Tempore Loren Legarda emphasized the critical role that gender equality plays in addressing environmental issues and urged the women leaders to make the goal of a sustainable future through climate change adaptation and disaster risk management the top of their priority lists.

“We are all impacted by climate change, but men and women are impacted differently. It does not respect gender. Due to ingrained gender stereotypes, cultural expectations, and societal roles, women are shown to be more vulnerable to the effects of climate change than males are” she explained.
