Women leaders are being progressive and putting all their efforts to show their presence throughout the world. Irrespective of the sector, women are thriving everywhere.

They are showcasing their talent and becoming an inspiration for other women out there in the world. Women Leaders are breaking barriers and consistently working on themselves and their work to contribute to the economy. Bank of England Nominates Economist Clare Lombardelli

Economist Clare Lombardelli will serve as the 5th female person in the nine-person policy-setting committee of the British central bank. She has been nominated by the Bank of England on February 29, 2024. For the first time in history, the bank is going to have a majority of females in their monetary policy committee. This seems a great step by Bank of England towards a gender-inclusive workplace.

Lily Gladstone wins SAG Awards 2024 as 1st Native American woman

An American actress, Lily Gladstone has made history for the 2nd time in 2024. She won the SAG Awards 2024 for ‘best female actor in a leading role’ in USA’s Los Angeles. She is the first Native American woman to win an award in this category. Lily was awarded for her role in 'Killers of the Flower Moon' as Mollie Burkhart which was director by Martin Scorsese.

U.N. Security Council Urges Taliban to Lift Restrictions on Women/Girls

On February 26, 2024, U.N. Security Council's members urged the Taliban to withdraw all policies that supports oppressing women and girls in the region. The policies like banning girls’ education above the sixth grade and women's right to work should be lifted, so that, women can move freely and live a more gladden life.

USAID & KOICA sign MOU for Women's Economic Empowerment in India

USAID (US Agency for International Development) and KOICA (Korea International Cooperation Agency) has joined hands in India in order to empower women in the country. The alliance signed a new Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) for the international collaboration, in India’s New Delhi on February 20, 2024. This collaboration will help in the development of the country to great extent. Women shall get benefited because of this alliance.

Marquette's Institute to Honour 3 Community Women Leaders

International Women’s Day is around the corner and Marquette University’s Institute for Women’s Leadership shall give Transformational Leadership awards to three honourable community and campus leaders. The occurrence is going to take place on March 7, 2024, at 3rd annual IWL Gala. The ceremony shall start at sharp 5 pm at the Alumni Memorial Union, 1442 W. Wisconsin Ave.
