Grey Bruce is all set to celebrate International Women’s Day by highlighting stories of women in business, through its event ‘Count Her In’ at Chesley. The event is slated to be held on March 7. It has been dubbed as ‘Business to Bruce and Women’s House Serving Bruce and Grey, Count Her In: Accelerating Gender Equality Through Economic Empowerment’.
Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FPCCI) has recently appointed Sahibzadi Mahin Khan as Pakistan Chapter in the Economic Cooperation Organization’s (ECO) representative. Additionally, she is appointed for the position of FPCCI Standing Committee, as the convenor on Foreign Affairs, Trade and Investment. Her tenure as the convenor shall be of 2 years.
The World Bank has published a new report entitled as ‘Women, Business, and the Law’. The report unveils facts about the gender gap in the workplace. According to the report, women still face challenges and legal hurdles that hampers their participation in the workforce. Women on average enjoy the rights far less than men i.e., 64% while addressing legal disparities regarding childcare and violence. Previously studies suggested that 77% of the legal protections are enjoyed by men.
Starbucks Foundation has again come up with 10 new Origin Grant projects in 2024. These ten grants which is adding up to $4 million, shall benefit 19,000 women. This opportunity is active for women based on 8 origin countries across Latin America, Africa and Asia Pacific. This Foundation has been benefiting several people over the years with an aim to advance the positive impact.

World Future Energy Summit’s 2024 edition is going to occur from April 16 till 18, 2024 at Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre. This edition of the summit shall emphasize on different sets of issues including climate change, sustainable tourism, smart city technology, circular economy integration, workplace diversity along with learnings from COP28.
