UK's BHC Appoints Charlene Brooks as New CEO

UK’s Belfast Healthy Cities (BHC) has appointed Charlene Brooks as its new chief executive officer. Her appointment will be effective from April 2024. The Moria lady was previously the CEO at Parenting Focus (then Parenting NI).

Nucleus Healthcare announces New Status as Woman-Owned Business

A prominent Philadelphia-based staffing and recruitment agency, Nucleus Healthcare announced its new stature as a woman-owned business. The transition of the firm took place through Nucleus by acquisition of Lynn Bruder, the current Chief Executive Officer via NuForce, LLC, doing business as Nucleus Healthcare.

SheaMoisture launches Dream Fund Grant program

SheaMoisture has launched ‘Dream Fund Grant’ program for Black female-owned businesses across Canada on April 15, 2024. In addition, the firm has awarded Canada’s 10 Black female entrepreneurs and their successful businesses with financial grants and educational resources that are from beauty and wellbeing sectors in order to improve their business acumen and growth potential.

Nigerian First Lady launches Digital Skills Training Program for Women

Southwest Huawei Renewed Hope Initiative (RHI) Women in Tech Training has been launched by the first lady of Nigeria, Oluremi Tinubu. The initiative has been introduced in order to empower women entrepreneurs with tech and digital skills for economic growth and development of the country.

EU Aids Women Entrepreneurs with 360,000 Euros

A total number of 45 women along with young citizens coming from economically disadvantaged municipalities shall set out towards new entrepreneurial waters. These women shall empower themselves through the extended EU PRO Plus programme with the assistance of European Union of more than 360,000 Euros.

Gates Foundation and EIB collaborates to Empower Women

European Investment Bank has collaborated Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation in order to improvise Kenyan women’s economic power by tackling key barriers to financial inclusion. The alliance has come up with new €30 million microfinance programme in Kenya which is backed by €15 million from EIB Global and financing from KCB Bank Kenya.
