In a recent announcement, it has been revealed that Sally Buzbee, the executive editor of Washington Post has stepped down from her position after 3 consecutive years. The Wall Street Journal’s former editor in chief, Matt Murray will be replacing her in the firm while Telegraph Media Group’s deputy editor, Robert Winnett shall take the position of the editor.

Claudia Sheinbaum wins Presidential Elections of Mexico

On June 2, 2024, an announcement has been made by the National Electoral Institute of Mexico that the ruling Morena party’s candidate, Claudia Sheinbaum has become the winner of presidential elections. With 58.3% to 60.7% of the votes, Claudia has secured her winning place, as per Al Jazeera report.

Caroline Brown Named Global Brand President of VF Corporation

Caroline Brown has been named as global brand president of The North Face by VF Corporation which will be effective from June 10, 2024. Having worked with 15 years in Nike, Nicole Otto was appointed at the position previously in the year 2022. Caroline succeeds him and takes up the position.

A grant program which was initiated in order to aid businesses of black women has been held back. According to a court order, the grant is possibly violating the Civil Rights Act of 1866. Fearless Fund’s foundation, a venture capitalist firm has issued the Strivers Grant.

Entrepreneur Halla Tomasdottir wins Iceland's Presidential Election

Halla Tomasdottir who is an entrepreneur, has now won the presidential election of Iceland. She will be taking over from incumbent Gudni Johannesson, the mostly ceremonial role. This 55-year-old lady has received votes cast of 34 percent during the election on June 1, 2024 in the North Atlantic nation.
