Turkish Business Women Association (TIKAD) chairwoman Nilufer Bulut has celebrated the 20th anniversary of the organisation, recently. Underscoring the firm’s dedication for the last 20 years, she emphasised on the advancing of leadership of women across social, political, and economic spheres in Turkey and across the world.
Growing with the vision to empower women nationally and globally, TIKAD has been working tremendously for more than 2 decades, hosting numerous international events that also includes 2009 conference “We Are All Mothers”. This conference was supported and assisted by U.S. Secretary of State and was organised to highlight the wars’ impact on females globally.
She said, “Our mission has remained clear to elevate and advance the influence of women while making sure their voices are heard across society and their contributions recognized at every level.”
As the organised has emerged as a platform, intending to deliver insights as well as recommendations to the members of Turkish parliament, alongside international organizations, and the public.
She added, “I believe that universities must create an effective system to prepare their students for life, and they must see that meeting students' expectations, that is, respecting students, is the first step to success. That's what I want to do here. To think, decide and move forward together with young people while preparing them for the future. We know that, above all else, Academia wants a free environment, and creativity can only develop in free environments.”
