  • TrailblazHER™ is a Free Program for Women

Technological University Dublin (TU Dublin) has launched TrailblazHER™ First Steps, a free initiative for empowering women entrepreneurs in Dublin. The program offers comprehensive guidance on starting a business, helps to explore entrepreneurship and turn their business ideas into reality, and connects participants with Ireland's enterprise ecosystem which includes mentors, role models, and co-working spaces.

TrailblazHER™ is a six-half-day workshop program where women aged 18 and over can have free of cost training. Starting from 10 February, it will be held at four different locations across Dublin. Supported by companies like Intel Ireland, ESB, Fidelity Investments, Jones Engineering, Workday, Enterprise Mobility, PwC, Enterprise Ireland, and the Local Enterprise Offices, the initiative aims to increase the number of women-led businesses in Ireland, which currently stands at 19 per cent.

The TrailblazHER™ First Steps programme consists of two steps: Step 1, an in-person information session from January 27-30, 2025, and Step 2, an in-depth workshop on February 10 at TU Dublin's Aungier Street campus, covering business development stages.

Claire Mac Namee, Director of TrailblazHER and Head of Enterprise Engagement at TU Dublin mentioned "The TrailblazHER First Step Programme reflects our dedication to empowering women from all walks of life." She added, "With only 19 per cent of Irish businesses currently women-led, this initiative aims to significantly increase that figure, paving the way for a more balanced and diverse business landscape."
