At Ivanhoe Mines Annual General and Special Meeting earlier on 23rd June, shareholders of the organisation cast their votes to elect the Board of Directors.
Ivanhoe Mines has appointed Dr. Phumzile Mlambo-Ngcuka and Ms. Delphine Traoré as independent directors to the company's board. Dr. Phumzile held positions as UN Under-Secretary-General and Executive Director of UN Women, promoting gender equality and advocating for women and girls. She was named the University of Johannesburg's Chancellor in January 2022. Ms. Delphine, Allianz Africa's Regional Chief Executive Officer, is responsible for the continent's growth.

About Dr. Phumzile Mlambo-Ngcuka
Dr. Phumzile served as UN Under-Secretary-General and Executive Director of UN Women from 2013 to 2021. She created programs like HeForShe to advance gender equality and was a global advocate for women and girls. She was the University of Johannesburg's Chancellor in January 2022. Phumzile held various positions, including Deputy President of South Africa, Minister of Trade and Industry, and member of South Africa's first democratic administration. She founded the Umlambo Foundation, promoting education and leadership, and is a longtime supporter of women's rights.
About Delphine Traoré
Delphine has been Allianz Africa's regional chief executive officer since November 2021, managing growth throughout the continent. She previously served as CEO of Allianz Global Corporate & Specialty Africa and later as Regional Chief Operations Officer. Delphine has also served on boards for African Risk Capacity, African Reinsurance Corporation, and Allianz for a Green Revolution in Africa. She was the African Insurance Organization's vice president and president from June 2019 to September 2021. Delphine is recognized as one of the top female economic leaders in Africa, having appeared on lists of the 50 most powerful women and serving as the Insurance Institute of South Africa's president. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Business and Accounting and a Master of Science in Insurance Management from Boston University.
