The UAE Ministry of Health and Prevention (MoHAP) has announced the beginning of preparations to develop a comprehensive national strategy, which is a key step towards improving women's health. This strategy seeks to deliver individualised healthcare services within a coherent, multisectoral framework while working in partnership with national strategic partners. This ground-breaking project, timed to coincide with Emirati Women's Day, highlights the UAE's dedication to maintaining the best levels of physical and mental wellness for women.

The upcoming national strategy aims to accommodate the unique healthcare needs of women throughout all stages of life. The strategy promises an integrated approach to women's health that incorporates fundamental ideas including leadership support, governance, gender equality, holistic lifecycle health, quality, and inclusion. It also places a strong emphasis on shared accountability and the seamless integration of women's health concerns into all areas of policy.

The UAE's Minister of Health and Prevention, Mr. Abdulrahman bin Mohamed Al Owais, stated that women's health is given priority as part of the country's commitment to raising healthcare standards and fostering sustainable development. He pointed out that the policy's design closely follows the president of the UAE, Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan. Al Owais emphasised the crucial part that women play in guiding the nation's continued development and leadership as well as in influencing future generations.

The Ministry organised a workshop in conjunction with the Emirati Women's Day festivities with the goal of creating a uniform national framework. Through enhanced preventative and curative healthcare services throughout their lifetimes, this framework aims to coordinate efforts across many sectors and improve the health of women. Health authorities, officials, public health professionals, health education specialists, and representatives from several sectors dedicated to enhancing women's health attended the session.

A thorough evaluation of the situation of women's health care at the moment was one of the workshop's main components. Participants also looked at ways to improve their tactics by utilising both national and international statistics. Assistant Undersecretary for the Public Health Sector Hussain Abdul Rahman Al Rand praised the MoHAP's and other stakeholders' cooperative efforts in formulating the upcoming national policy. He emphasised the special position women have in the United Arab Emirates and their crucial function in the healthcare system.

The initial draught of the national policy is now being worked on, according to Lubna Al Shaali, Director of the Public Health Policy Department. This draught, which was developed in consultation with stakeholders, will summarise the vision, values, and varied goals of the policy. It will follow guidelines set out by the UAE government and be modelled after world-class procedures.

This ambitious programme, launched as the UAE celebrates Emirati Women's Day, demonstrates the nation's steadfast dedication to safeguarding women's wellbeing and access to comprehensive healthcare. The country is prepared to improve women's health, highlighting their crucial role in fostering growth and nation-building, with a visionary approach and a concerted effort from many sectors.
