Dubai Police’s Unmanned Aerial Systems Centre’s (UASC) Lieutenant Nouf Al Baloushi becomes the first ever Emirati to enrol in and graduate from the postgraduate programme in UK Ministry of Defence’s Defence Academy.
In addition, she is also armed with a Master’s degree in Engineering Design as well as Simulation of Defence Systems from Cranfield University while making it a significant achievement as the first graduate in this particular field from the police and security sector of UAE.
Assistant commander-in-chief for operations affairs Major General Abdullah Ali Al Ghaithi stated, “Advanced training and education empower police forces to enhance their efficiency and readiness to address security challenges with greater agility. Dubai Police is proud to be a leader in preparing its personnel for future challenges.”
The specialisation of Lieutenant Nouf specifically aims at preparing officers in military, technical, and security fields while putting emphasis on the simulation of defence systems alongside training them for complex virtual scenarios. This specific programme provides skills to officers for designing virtual as well as operational military environments while giving equipping them with assess system performance, and lead defence projects. It also enhancing their capability for tackling real-world security challenges.
