U.S. Department of State espnW's GSMP celebrates its 13th Year

Marking U.S. Department of State-espnW Global Sports Mentoring Program’s (GSMP) 13th year, a public-private partnership has been made between the Department and espnW. In addition, GSMP works as a mediator with harnessing the sports’ positive power and mentorship to connect with accomplished women leaders coming from all across the globe with women executive serving as leading organizations, specifically in sports sector and beyond.

The GSMP has created a platform/global network of women since its inception. This network consists of women who assist efforts for expanding educational access as well as economic equity and societal opportunity in addition to inclusion through sports.

In 2024, Global Sports Mentoring Program has planned to pair 15 international women coming from Azerbaijan, Bolivia, Brazil, Croatia, Czech Republic, Kazakhstan, Lithuania, Mexico, New Zealand, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Tanzania, Trinidad & Tobago, and Zimbabwe. They will be paired with American sports industry’s mentor that includes Big East Conference, Creative Artists Agency, ESPN, Double Verify, Monumental Sports and Entertainment, NFL Films and Green Bay Packers.

This pairing shall take place in coordination with the League office, the National Hockey League, the National Collegiate Athletic Association, New Balance, Saatchi & Saatchi, the University of Connecticut, the University of Louisville, and the United States Tennis Association.
