Utica National Insurance Group promotes Kristen Martin to CEO

In a recent announcement, Kristen Martin has been named by Utica National Insurance Group as the CEO which will be effective from July 1. Founded in 1914, the firm caters in the insurance industry with headquarters in New Hartford. It specialises in Personal lines, Commercial lines, Errors & Omissions coverages, insurance, and risk management etc. Kristen will be appointed on the company’s Woodbury office.

She has been working with the firm since 2001, occupying several positions one after the other. Having spent so many years in the industry, now she is a seasoned expert. Kristen joined the firm as an examiner.

In a statement, she expressed her gratitude, saying, “I’m grateful for the opportunity to lead an amazing team and work closely with the independent agents who represent our company toward one goal – to help our insureds protect what’s important to them. At the same time, I’m excited about helping our company continue to grow, be successful, and contribute to the wellbeing of the communities where we live and work.”

In addition, her academical background suggests that she holds a BA in Economics and Government from St. Lawrence University along with a Doctor of Law from Albany Law School, that makes her a strong individual to handle such big positions.
