Vidya Ravichandran has been appointed to both boards by Republic Bancorp, Inc.'s (the "Company") officers and directors, who also serve as directors of Republic Bank & Trust Company (the "Bank").

The founder and CEO of GlowTouch, LLC, a multinational company that offers outsourced services for customer support and technology, is Vidya. The business, which was started in 2002 with just three workers, has expanded because of Vidya’s management tenet of "putting people first." At now, GlowTouch employs over 3,000 people in the United States, India, the Philippines, and the Dominican Republic.

"Vidya is an innovative thinker and global leader whose knowledge in technology, cyber security, and management adds tremendous strength to our operations," stated Steve Trager, executive chairman and CEO of the company. “I'm eager to see how her efforts will help us provide new services to our communities and clients.”

A second firm was started as a result of Vidya’s enthusiasm and support for better STEM education. She established the StemWizard software platform in 2013, a cloud-enabled platform that enables students, instructors, judges, volunteers, and administrators to organize and manage STEM contests including science fairs, the Science Olympiad, and robotics events.

“Making a difference in the areas where we live is a part of GlowTouch's goal”, according to Vidya. "I have the opportunity to continue having a positive influence in Louisville and all of the communities Republic serves by serving on Republic's Boards."

Vidya graduated with a science master's degree from Virginia Tech and a science bachelor's degree from Bangalore University. She has held positions in several organizations, including the Kentucky Council for Postsecondary Education Board, demonstrating her deep involvement in the community. Vidya participates actively in C200, a non-profit organization that supports, encourages, and advances present and future female business owners and executives.

In addition to being inducted into the CCWomen Hall of Fame, Vidya was chosen by Louisville Business First as one of the city's most admired CEOs last year. Vidya’s competence in technology, together with her business successes and leadership skills, will provide Republic's boards more power.
