With collaboration from Avijatrik and BRAC Bank Tara, the female travel portal Wander Woman has introduced "Wander Stars," a case competition for women in leadership.

According to a press release, the official announcement was made at a recent event hosted by Wander Woman and BRAC Bank Tara at the BRAC Bank Head Offices in the city's Tejgaon neighbourhood.

Wander Stars, which targets female university students from more than ten schools, seeks to close the apparent gap between men and women in the travel and tourism industry and motivates women to travel and expand their networks. For the competition, more than 400 pupils registered.

The competition involves teaching women more valuable behavioural skills through the extensive training offered by Wander Woman, as well as building and exercising their leadership skills by putting them through a training program on how to conduct group tours.

The top three teams shall together receive a fully paid domestic trip, which will be provided by Avijatrik, the competition's sponsor. The banking partners are BRAC Bank Tara and AGAMI. The victors will also receive priority access to other employment possibilities with Wander Woman, including trip leadership recruitment.

"This was a major milestone that they had built with their squad-an daunting task for women to tackle and win a fully financed trip in Bangladesh," said Sabira Mehrin Saba, the creator of Wander Woman.

Mehruba Reza, the BRAC Bank's head of women's banking, joked, "We thought it would be fun to get to know female students while also educating them about the value of banking and money management as we prepare to go. TARA has always made an effort to back initiatives centred on women's empowerment. In the future, we anticipate collaborating with Wander Woman on a variety of projects."
