WBC at Cornerstone Alliance announces Start-up Grant for Women-Owned Businesses

While celebrating their 20-year anniversary, Women’s Business Center (WBC) at Cornerstone Alliance has come up with an announcement of start-up grant, aiming to assist new business ventures. They stated that the grant has been designed with an intent to empower businesses that are owned by women.

The grant aims at fostering economic growth in Southwest Michigan. In addition, WBC at Cornerstone Alliance equips small businesses and entrepreneurs with technical, business, and financial assistance. With the U.S. Small Business Administration, it is funded in part via a Cooperative Agreement.

The announcement stated, “For 20 years, the WBC has been committed to supporting women, people of color, veterans, and economically disadvantaged individuals in launching and growing businesses in Southwest Michigan. This grant is just one of many ways we continue to build a brighter future for entrepreneurs in our community. We encourage all eligible entrepreneurs to apply, and we look forward to celebrating their innovative ideas at our anniversary event!”

During the event, all the finalists shall get the opportunity to showcase and present their business ideas live on October 3, 2024 i.e., 20th Anniversary Celebration of WBC. The attendees of the event can show their support towards the local entrepreneurs and at the same time they can witness the pitches as well.
