WE Hub, in conjunction with the Australian government, is scheduled to launch StartX, a 13-week pre-incubation program aimed at boosting entrepreneurship among women, the disadvantaged, and the LGBTIQ+ community. The initiative's goal is to give full assistance and coaching to individuals from all backgrounds seeking to become entrepreneurs.
The cooperation was announced on Monday during a visit to WE Hub by Minister for IT and Industries Duddilla Sridhar Babu and Australia's High Commissioner to India, Philip Green. StartX is the successor to the successful 'Upsurge' pre-incubation initiative, which helped 180 female entrepreneurs with the support of the Australian High Commission.
WE Hub, with the launch of StartX, seeks to serve as a single platform for women across the state to build sustainable social enterprises, supporting their entry into the global market. Minister Babu stressed that women's empowerment will be critical to Telangana's overall development.
Minister Babu emphasized the government's commitment to solving ground-level challenges for women, citing initiatives like as free bus trips and the projected provision of low-cost cooking gas cylinders. He also emphasized current attempts to develop an MSME strategy that would encourage more female graduates to pursue business, ultimately creating jobs in local areas.
Furthermore, Minister Babu confirmed the government's aim to develop legal channels for obtaining goods and services from female businesses.
Australian High Commissioner Philip Green expressed enthusiasm for the partnership, saying, "Australia was WE Hub's first international partner... look forward to working with WE Hub and the government of Telangana to deliver Start-X."
The new project intends to develop business skills and provide chances for women, marginalized populations, and the LGBTIQ+ community in the state.
