In an effort to encourage women in business, the White County Chamber of Commerce successfully presented its first women-focused event, the Pearls of Wisdom Conference. On February 13, the Meadows at Mossy Creek hosted a sold-out event from 9:30 a.m. to 12 p.m.
Beth Truelove, President of the White County Chamber of Commerce, expressed her excitement about the event, emphasizing its importance in giving a forum for women to encourage one another in both professional and personal goals.
The conference featured a notable panel of businesswomen who gave thoughts and guidance on a variety of themes, including establishing work-life balance and lobbying for change. Margaret McLean, Carol Jackson, Lacy Turner, and Dr. Shanda Ginn were panelists who represented a variety of backgrounds and experiences.
The speakers addressed the audience and underlined the need of balancing family, self-care, community participation, and effective delegation when navigating the hurdles of entrepreneurship and professional progression.
Attendees took advantage of the chance to network, exchange ideas, and enjoy the event's offers, which included wonderful food, lottery tickets, and even massage chairs. The atmosphere encouraged friendship and mutual support among businesswomen.
Reflecting on the day's conversations, Carol Jackson asked attendees to encourage and support one another, while Dr. Shanda Ginn underlined the importance of building healthy connections and avoiding negativity.
The Pearls of Wisdom Conference not only gave practical answers and inspiration, but it also served as a reminder of the boundless possibilities available through tenacity and collaboration in the business world.
