WIM Maldives partners with IFC for Professional & Career Women Awards 2024

With an intent to co-host the ‘Professional & Career Women Awards 2024’, Women in Management Maldives (WIM Maldives) made partnership with International Finance Corporation (IFC), positioning business leadership of women at the vanguard of growth agenda of Maldives.

The award has come up with its 6^th Edition to recognize and champion women of Maldives who have excelled in their careers, businesses and everyday life. This award has more than 170 past award winners from Maldives coming from numerous professions like banking and finance, hospitality, media, legal, logistics and supply chains.

Despite some progress, Maldives still faces persistent challenges in achieving gender equality in addition to the struggles of economic empowerment of women.

Women in Management Founder/Chairperson Dr. Sulochana Segera said, “The vision of the ‘Professional and Career Women Awards’ goes beyond just celebrating inspiring women leaders. It is also about providing the next generation with role models to look up to – women who embody a sense of status, achievement, and success.
