Intending to foster trade opportunities for enterprises that are led by women, Women in Management, Business and Public Service (WIMBIZ) has confirmed partnership with the Nigerian High Commission in the United Kingdom.
Omowunmi Akingbohungbe, WIMBIZ’s executive director has issued a statement and the partnership has been signed by them, during a courtesy visit the Nigerian High Commission in the UK. Women leadership’s crucial role has been highlighted during the visit and economic inclusion in sustainable growth also played a significant role.
Bisi Adeyemi, the chairman of the Board of Trustees-led WIMBIZ delegation included quote a few notable members that involves Bola Adesola, the co-founder; Aishah Ahmad, the trustee; Omowunmi Akingbohungbe, the Executive Director; Rabi Isma, the Chair of the London Conference Planning Group and lastly, Caroline Popoola, the vice chair.
Bisi Adeyemi stated, “Our robust network of female-led businesses across various sectors is strategically positioned to capitalise on international trade opportunities between Nigeria and the UK to foster prosperity in both nations.”
While representing the Nigerian High Commissioner to the UK, Bello Jaye said, “The Nigerian High Commission is committed to supporting Nigerians and promoting beneficial programs. We are eager to facilitate investments and trade between Nigeria and the United Kingdom and are open to collaborating with your organisation and its members.”
