Women Creating Wealth Releases Book with Collection of Entrepreneurial Stories from African Women

The continent with the largest percentage of female entrepreneurs is thought to be Africa. Women in many African nations encounter difficulties, but they nonetheless make amazing progress in business. In reality, women account for the majority of business owners in Africa, according to the World Bank. African women are overcoming the hurdles and blazing their own pathways to success, and this is a monument to their tenacity and tenacity.

The Graça Machel Trust has made it its goal during the past ten years to support African women entrepreneurs in overcoming obstacles and building profitable enterprises. The second edition of the book Women Creating Wealth (WCW): A Collection of Stories by African Women Entrepreneurs gathers motivational narratives from 45 successful African women business owners from around the continent, sharing the lessons they have discovered along the way. These women, who work in various industries, took part in our Women Creating Wealth project, which aided in their development as people and businesswomen. The book examines the difficulties faced by African women business owners, the methods they employ to deal with these difficulties, and the lessons we may draw from their experiences.

With assistance from the Mastercard Foundation (MCF), which has played a significant role in assisting female entrepreneurs throughout Africa, we hope to empower a lot more women, assist them in taking control of their own financial futures, and enable them to contribute to the expansion and development of their local communities and the continent as a whole.

This book is a potent example of the tenacity, tenacity, and innovation of African women entrepreneurs. It emphasises their difficulties, triumphs, and life lessons. We believe that by sharing these experiences, we will encourage other women to pursue their entrepreneurial aspirations and demonstrate to the world that Africa is a thriving continent with successful women entrepreneurs dedicated to generating wealth and prosperity for themselves, their families, and their communities.

More than 400 women have received help from Women Creating Wealth (WCW) throughout the years, and this year, more will be added through a number of partner initiatives, including The Mastercard Foundation. The first book was released in 2017. This was a collection of 60 African women entrepreneurs' inspiring tales, spanning from modest to huge enterprises. It featured a variety of women entrepreneurs who were expanding their businesses and providing advice to help other women entrepreneurs do the same.
