Women Executive Leadership (WEL), a nonprofit that promotes, informs, and connects accomplished executive women, has honoured Rayonier Inc. for advancing gender diversity in the boardroom. Public firms who have added female board members since the WEL 2017 Census are recognised with the Elevate Award. In 1994, Rayonier's board welcomed its first female director. On its 10-member board, there are currently three female directors, two of whom joined in 2020.

"At Rayonier we are focused on creating a healthy and inclusive organizational culture based on shared values," said President and CEO David Nunes. "This is mirrored both in our board makeup and the way in which our board and management team work together. Our nominating process is intended to complement our management team with the right mix of skills and experience, with the commitment to make the company stronger. We are proud to be recognized for the diversity represented on our board."

Each candidate is chosen by the Rayonier Nominating and Corporate Governance Committee to complement the abilities already present on the current board using a skills matrix. Not only has gender diversity resulted from our deliberate effort, but also ethnic and global variety.

"All of our encounters are made more imaginative, insightful, and respectful by the variety of our backgrounds and experiences. We are dedicated to one another and the business, which will, in our opinion, promote the long-term prosperity of all of our stakeholders "the chair of the board's nomination and governance committee, Meridee Moore, stated.
