Recently at its Voices of Leadership Conference, Women in Business has welcomed more than 400 delegates from diverse sectors for hearing from a line-up of innovative and inspiring leaders. The conference has been hosted with the theme of ‘People, Purpose, Planet’ by Donna Traynor.
The event was organised in Mandela Hall where keynote speakers gave their opinions. These speakers include Joe Kennedy III, US Special Envoy to Northern Ireland; Hannah Scott, Olympic gold medallist; Michelle O’Neill, First Minister; and lastly Emma Little-Pengelly, deputy First Minister. These speakers gave attention to the importance of leadership for acquiring sustainable future while leading with vision in addition to passion and resilience, keeping the gender on the agenda.
While speaking during the conference, Lorraine Acheson, the Managing Director of Women in Business stated, “Today’s impressive gathering of distinguished local, and international leadership figures, has provided us with a unique opportunity to explore the core values of purpose-driven leadership. The need for leaders who prioritise both, people and the planet, has never been more critical and we will continue to work collaboratively with our partners and other business organisations to empower today’s women leaders who can have a greater impact on our future.”
