As per NECA’s Network of Entrepreneurial Women, Women in Digital Business training program has been launched with an intent to empower 800 women entrepreneurs. The empowerment shall happen through digital literacy and business innovation.
NNEW release stated the program is supported by Microsoft Philanthropies and the International Training Centre of the International Labour Organisation. This serves as a significant step towards encouraging economic growth as well as sustainability amongst enterprises that are owned by women.
Basically, this is a training program that aims at improvising the female entrepreneurs’ digital abilities who has been into the realm of business for over 6 months now.
In addition, NNEW President Adefunke Kuyoro said, “We are thrilled to partner with ITC-ILO and Microsoft Philanthropies on the Women in Digital Business initiative to offer this empowering programme to women entrepreneurs. By equipping them with essential digital skills and innovative business strategies, we aim to bridge the digital divide, create opportunities for women entrepreneurs, and enhance their capacity to succeed in today’s digital economy.”
Moreover, Program Director Bukky Femi-Ajala added, “The Women in Digital Business programme consists of 10 online training sessions and self-paced learning modules on a dedicated portal. Participants will gain valuable insights and practical skills to enhance their business operations, increase efficiency, and drive growth in the digital economy.”
