The Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) Women had a successful introduction in Oman in the field of Finance program that has achieved a new milestone. This initiative aims to empower women in every field of their careers by providing them with education, guidance, and financial positions in the corporate world. There is a need for change in cultural change for improvement and progression, believes ACCA. Fatma Al Balushi, deputy director general at The Oman Authority for Academic Accreditation and Quality Assurance of Education addressed in a launch about 'Lessons from Business Legends.'
Grant Thornton, Ministry of Finance, OQ Oman Petroleum Development, and Majan University College were present in a panel discussion along with 55 other members and discussed "Breaking Barriers and Excelling at Work". The panel discussion provided a chance to interact with the Oman Member Advisory Committee members of ACCA.
Since the launch of Women in Finance and Accounting professions in Saudi Arabia and Bahrain, ACCA is planning to expand the number of women in workplaces. To build on the success of the program panels, networking opportunities, and seminars held in the previous year, Women in Finance will be back in Dubai on 18 March in collaboration with the Institute of Management Accountants (IMA).
