Women of the World Festival to Commence at Alhamra Arts Center on Feb. 1

British Council have made an alliance with WOW Foundation, UNFP, and the Entrepreneurship and Community Development Institute (ECDI) to host the 8th annual Women of the World (WOW) Festival. The event shall commence on February 1 (Today), 2025 at the Alhamra Arts Center.

This 2-day event shall end on February 2, 2025, standing as an encouragement for empowerment while celebrating women’s remarkable achievements. It will also address the multifaceted challenges that females come across in today’s world.

A pre-event press was called where the key details of the festival was unveiled to the audience who are aficionados of literature and culture. During the briefing, Razi Ahmed, the Chairman of Alhamra alongside Tauqeer Haider Kazmi, the Executive Director of Alhamra welcomes the administration of the festival, indorsing their dedication towards offering facilities that are unparalleled while assisting for the event.

Furthermore, the festival is not just a celebration but rather a movement, for seeking to honour women’s extraordinary contributions across numerous sectors. The event will ignite conversation, focusing on the obstacles that women come across, championing solutions via meaningful and inclusive dialogue. During the press, esteemed figures that includes WOW Foundation Founder and CEO Jude Kelly along with British Council Country Director James Hampson shared their enthusiasm for the event. Both of them emphasised the potential of transformation in women’s and girl’s empowerment, of all ages.
