World Future Energy Summit 2024 to Take Place in Abu Dhabi

World Future Energy Summit’s 2024 edition is going to occur from April 16 till 18, 2024 at Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre. This edition of the summit shall emphasize on different sets of issues including climate change, sustainable tourism, smart city technology, circular economy integration, workplace diversity along with learnings from COP28.

This event shall include a particular vicinity for its Climate Innovations Exchange (CLIX) initiative. This initiative has been launched in 2018 that focuses on supporting UAE’s Ministry of Climate Change and Environment strategy to bring funding and sourcing of climate change solutions and technologies.

This event will give the female-led startups along with SMEs and innovators to showcase game-changing products and solutions to a global audience. United Nations Industrial Development Organisation (UNIDO) is the summit’s official Insight Supporter.

Division of Energy and Climate Action’s Chief Rana Ghoneim, while expressing his thoughts said, “To mark this year’s International Women’s Day, we join the United Nations in celebrating the theme of Invest in Women: Accelerate Progress. Women empowerment and advancement in tech and innovation are pivotal to accelerating progress towards the sustainable development and climate goals. By investing in women, we can spark change and speed the transition to a healthier, safer, and more equal world for all.”

General Manager of RX Middle East and Head of the World Future Energy Summit, Leen AlSebai said, “The high level of female participation – currently standing at approximately 30 per cent of our speaker cast at this year’s World Future Energy Summit - directly supports our carefully curated CLIX initiative, which will shine additional light on the critical role women play in tackling climate change and promoting sustainability through technology, innovation, and ingenuity.”

Additionally, the summit is going to organize a panel discussion which shall be moderated by MENA Sustainable Finance Leader, Jessica Robinson. The panel will be solely dedicated to women entrepreneurs who are leading decarbonisation innovation.
