In a recent announcement, it has been revealed that the Young Pacific Leaders Academy for Women Entrepreneurs applications are now open for interested female entrepreneurs throughout the South Pacific. In addition, the AWE of APL has an aim towards empowering as well as elevating Pacific business leaders’ next generation across the region.
Guam Community College is facilitating the AWE which shall consist of a business development for 12 months alongside a leadership virtual training program. It will cater to Pacific Females coming from 24 island nations within the YPL network.
Guam Community College president and CEO Dr. Mary Okada stated, “Guam Community College is excited to host the Where Dreams Become Reality Conference, for women entrepreneurs throughout the Pacific. Opportunities to connect with successful women in business gives the advantage of wisdom and experience in building a sustainable and thriving organization. We are eager to take our decades of knowledge and success in helping to train leaders in all corners of our society and impart that knowledge to these amazing and ambitious women in business.”
Additionally, Mara Hosoda Su’a, the United States Pacific Regional Engagement specialist added, “Following the conference, the participants—some who will have established businesses already while others will just be getting started — will continue to meet weekly online to complete the Dream Builder Course business plans.”
