My formative years in Pune, India, epitomized a rich blend of multicultural exposure and early independence aspirations. Commencing work at the age of 18 in telemarketing and diving into German translations, I eagerly embraced diverse challenges. Early marriage brought me to Bhusawal, a remote yet transformative junction where adversity sparked ambition. Amidst life's trials, my husband emerged as an unwavering pillar of support. Surprisingly, Bhusawal, despite its unassuming nature, served as the ground where our early venture originated, offering a ray of hope for numerous aspiring individuals. Reflecting on those pivotal years, they represent a tapestry of resilience, innovation, and the transformative power of adversity, encapsulating a journey of personal and professional growth. What led you to establish Talent Orbit? Tell us about the underlying idea behind the venture and its key areas of specialization.

The establishment of Talent Orbit stems from a profound passion for recruitment coupled with an innate desire for autonomy. The notion of crafting a niche for myself in the fiercely competitive market was paramount. Recognizing a gap in Singapore's recruitment landscape, particularly in private banking, spurred the inception of Talent Orbit. Focusing exclusively on this field enabled me to set myself apart from the myriad competitors. With a steadfast focus on private banking and a burgeoning interest in fintech, I forged ahead, leveraging my expertise and network. Our core ethos revolves around fostering enduring relationships founded on honesty and integrity, a commitment that has propelled us to prominence, even extending our operations to Dubai. Today, Talent Orbit stands as the preferred recruitment partner for numerous banks, a testament to the power of specialization and unwavering dedication. Talent Orbit, based in Singapore, extends its operations to Dubai as well, serving markets across Southeast Asia, the Middle East, and Europe.

As the Founder and CEO of Talent Orbit, I am not only the face of the company but also the driving force behind its internal operations and external image. Juggling dual roles, I meticulously craft both short and long-term strategies, steering the company towards its objectives. Continuously scanning the horizon, I identify opportunities, nurture partnerships, and expand our network. Financial stewardship is paramount, ensuring our fiscal health and profitability. Decisiveness and humility are equally crucial; I make confident decisions while remaining open to feedback and learning. Ultimately, my chief responsibility lies in realizing our vision - forging enduring relationships built on honesty, integrity, and mutual respect. My daily routine, characterized by flexibility and adaptability, centers around seizing opportunities and navigating the dynamic landscape of private banking recruitment, ensuring our continued success and growth.

Throw some light on the major challenges you encounter as an entrepreneur. How do you overcome the said roadblocks?

Navigating the entrepreneurial landscape, particularly in the realm of recruitment, posed formidable challenges. As a newcomer, establishing credibility was paramount. Building a network from scratch demanded relentless effort, especially in an industry reliant on relationships. Moreover, as a woman entrepreneur, I confronted societal biases and personal responsibilities. Even though some doubted me, I kept going, driven by doing what was right and working hard. Over time, I cultivated a robust network, anchored by clients and candidates who valued my dedication. Balancing professional pursuits with personal obligations, including motherhood, tested my resolve. Yet, supported by my husband and a steely determination, I surmounted these challenges, emerging stronger and more resilient.

What is your vision for Talent Orbit in the near future? Tell us about the key HR trends that you are betting on.

As I envision the future of Talent Orbit, my focus remains steadfast on fostering robust employee and candidate engagement. Amidst evolving HR trends, proactive candidate management emerges as a cornerstone. Engaging passive candidates takes precedence over the ubiquitous active ones, a trend I ardently believe in. Additionally, with Gen Z entering the workforce, adapting recruitment systems to align with their preferences becomes imperative. Embracing AI and leveraging technology for strategic recruitment is paramount. The landscape is evolving, with hybrid and remote work cultures reshaping our approach. Recruiting individuals who resonate with the ethos of organizations in this dynamic environment is pivotal for our continued success.
