I think that the most significant evolution in the tech industry for 2024 is undoubtedly the evolution of Generative AI. Since it’s introduction, it has captured the imagination in every industry and almost everyone is trying to introduce some form of Gen AI in their products and services. From students to enterprises, people have found a way to use Gen AI, although some have been more successful that others.

Many businesses have also benefitted from this rise, most notably, chipset makers and data centre providers, are all enjoying record growths. At the same time, the market is fighting over Gen AI talents at a time of austerity and retrenchments. Compliance and regulatory issues have also surfaced as lawmakers globally are beginning to realize the potential and dangers that it brings and how should they govern the use of this new technology. We are only at the beginning of the Gen AI cycle and believe we will see more progress in 2025 in this field.
