Lois Quam Named First Ever Female CEO of Blue Shield of California

Most recently in the first month of 2025, Lois Quam has been announced to become the new Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Blue Shield of California. After having such an extensive experience, Lois has become a seasoned leader and after the appointment she became the first woman CEO of the organisation. She joined the organisation in 2024 as the president while getting promoted to new position later. She has also worked with Pathfinder International as the Chief Executive Officer for over 7 years and at The Nature Conservancy as Chief Operating Officer for 2 years. Lois has spent 17 years of her professional journey with UnitedHealth Group.
