Major Amie P. Feroleto becomes 1st Female Troop A Commander

On January 2, 2025, Major Amie P. Feroleto took the position of first female Troop A Commander. She became the 28th Troop A Commander in a first of 107-year history of New York State Police. Due to her activeness in industry, Major Amie brings 22 years of service experience in addition to a great understanding across multiple Troops and roles. She is also armed with advanced educational credentials that highlights her exemplary leadership and dedication towards public safety. She is responsible for all State Police patrol after her appointment. She also looks after the investigating operations across Western New York’s 8 countries that includes managing over 400 sworn alongside civilian personnel.
