Kemi Badenoch Becomes First Ever Black Woman to Lead UK Conservatives

In a decisive leadership contest in November, Kemi Badenoch has succeeded Rishi Sunak as the leader of UK Conservatives, receiving 57% of votes from Conservative members. This 44-year-old woman becomes the first ever black woman to lead the UK Conservatives. Prior to this, she has held the position of Secretary of State for Business and Trade. Durin the inaugural address, she vowed to bring the UK Conservatives back to its founding principles.
