Founded in 2017, Sanitary Aid Initiative aims at providing low-income families’ girls and women with free sanitary pads along with other period products such as soaps, wipes, toilet bags, disinfectant, clean underwear etc. within public schools and Internally Displaced Persons Camps across Africa. This firm is a Non-profit Organization that focuses on Nigerian Girls/women. Karo Omu serves as the founder and Executive Director of the firm who was passionate about impacting and bringing a change in the society when she established SAI. Since the establishment, the organisation has distributed its products to more than 20,000 girls across Nigeria.
