AFRIpads was co-founded by Sophia (Klumpp) Grinvalds in the year 2010 and she also serves as the firm’s director. Having specialities in Menstrual Hygiene Management (MHM), Women's Empowerment, Manufacturing, Humanitarian Relief, Menstrual Health, Menstrual Education and Development, the organisation key focus is to empower women and girls with the knowledge of access, affordability and sustainability during their menstruation. Over the past 14 years, the firm has trained over 4687 people in MHH and worked with more than 200 partners. Additionally, the firm has impacted 5 million women and girls in the year 2022. The firm has introduced reusable sanitary pad Sub-Saharan Africa and that’s what makes it unique in the country.
