Hanaa Mahameed

A renowned journalist, Hanaa Mahameed is now serving as a correspondent in Jerusalem at Al Mayadeen TV. Intending to discredit her reporting, Israeli journalists attempted harassment and ambushes on Hanaa amidst ongoing conflict.

Her past experience embodies documentation of some of the most intense and exceptionally fierce situations in the city, keeping a focus on showing the outlook of Palestinians. During the East Jerusalem clashes, Hanaa also got hit by stun grenade flakes in the face and neck in 2015, which were purposedly fired by Israeli police. Moreover, She majorly covers human rights issues as well as the conflict’s impact on local communities. Recently, she was targeted by an Israeli incitement campaign in between the hostile environment of the site.
